Cardboard
This week was a bit of a free-for-all in Play Outside the Box! We believe that this format of class often leads to the most creativity, and we sure weren’t disappointed! We offered cardboard with tape, scissors, and some specific inspiration pictured below.
Thomas and Leo wanted to create something similar to what they saw in these photos - a swimming pool and a camera :) In addition to these projects, we also invited the class to pair cardboard with LEGOS. Throughout this session, the boys have enjoyed returning to the same pretend play scenario at the end of class. They pretend to be “candy thieves” and keep Claire and me from eating the candy (LEGOS). It was fun to watch the way cardboard enhanced their play! They built bridges, a jetpack, a chapel, and a candy factory!
