Craft Buffet

This was our final week of Play Outside The Box! To remember and celebrate the many materials we worked with this semester, we brought out all the extras, all the leftovers, and let the children decide what they wanted to create!

We noticed some of them revisit a favorite craft, or try their hand a second time with a challenging material. This group really seemed to enjoy drawing- every time a project involved any kind of mark-making, they spent a lot of time on this portion of the process!

It makes sense, as they’re definitely familiar and comfortable with markers and crayons, think about how familiar they could become with the rest of these materials if we continue offering them! This is your formal invitation to save recyclables, cardboard, and paper and maybe introduce things like wire and clay at home! We so enjoyed our time with your kiddos :) They were endlessly creative and just so delightful.
