Periwinkle Paradise

This space underwent a BIG transformation from start to finish! There were originally built-ins along two of the four walls, but this set-up wasn’t serving the family well. We removed them and planned for a more open atelier with a color drenched pegboard, art cart, and large work table. We also included a gallery wall of frames and clipboards for interchangeable art, and hooks for smocks. The three girls who use this space love playing with dolls, so we wanted to give them materials and tools to expand their play. We included trifold posters, fabric, paint and more for them to create “mini sets” for their American Girl Dolls, then we mounted a picture light above a storage cabinet for these to be displayed! We hung magazine holders for Barbies that double as decor, and stored bins and baskets on a large steel shelving unit. It’s playful and mature enough for them to enjoy for years to come!
