Rocky Barnes’ Boys’ Bedroom

We have been fans of Rocky for years, so were delighted to refresh her sons, Jones and Charlie’s, bedroom. The room already had a wonderfully whimsical feel when we got started; mushrooms arched over the built-ins (some she and her father even handmade!), fishing nets playfully enclosed the top bunk and stuffed animals warmly welcomed guests as they entered the space. Since the boys’ room serves as their primary play area, Rocky and her husband, Matt, wanted help setting up better organizational systems and selecting toys that would target the boys’ current interests and support areas in which they hoped to see them grow. We had so much fun choosing items we knew the boys would love. Our favorites include a homemade doctor/vet kit, water canvas and PVC pipe car ramps. Dream project!
