Who God Says I Am

The theme today in Uniquely Me! was “Who God Says I Am.” We’re Christians and believe that every human being embodies a completely one-of-a-kind part of God’s character. We can know what He says about us as His children through scripture, and have learned how to hear His unique thoughts about us as individuals. This has shaped how we see God as loving and personal, and wanted to discuss with the class 🙂

We began talking about how we’re God’s wildest dreams! How He made everything about us exactly the way He wanted it and wouldn’t change one thing. We shared Ephesians 2:10 while exploring this idea.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Then we decorated crowns to remind us that we’re royalty as God’s children! We ended the class by explaining that God enjoys reminding us who we are and how He made us special. We shared that sometimes He likes to communicate by putting a picture in our head or a certain word in our head, then we practiced hearing Him speak. We took 15 seconds to sit in silence and see what He thinks of us.

“That He loves me and He’s my Father.”

“He loves me!”

“HE LOVES ME!”

“God is Jesus’s Father.”

Finally, we went around the circle and encouraged one another. Every child was built up by their peers and teachers as we pointed out characteristics and strengths they embody. It was lovely!
